I started my accounting and tax career in Deloitte and Touché. In 2008, I obtained my CPA, CA designation. Working on many assurance and tax clients and leading those engagements, I gained valuable experience understanding different industries and seeing multiple complex scenarios from both tax and reporting perspective. Then I moved to the industry working first in General Motors Canada and then in Anatolia Group. Both, large and complex organizations that exposed me to interesting business cases and showed me how important knowledge of rules and regulations is for tax planning, compliance and planning where the cash goes. In my last role in the Anatolia Group — a multinational organization, with the head office in Toronto, I was the head of Finance — leading the Finance department — fully responsible for the full accounting cycle, Canadian tax reporting, cross border reporting, transfer pricing arrangements, estate freezes and other tax planning arrangements to benefit the company and the owners. In parallel to my career in the industry, I always maintained my own tax and accounting practice servicing small to medium sized companies and helping owners with their compliance and planning tax needs. Then, I decided to dedicate myself to my own practice. Using tremendous experience I gained, I focused on servicing my clients: taking the hassle of tax reporting from owners’ shoulders, planning the best tax strategies with my clients and answering all questions while we comply with tax regulations.
